9, The Crescent is a lovely, Cornish cottage set in a popular terrace at The Crescent, Bude. It is a two minute level walk to beaches, restaurants, bars and tea rooms, as well as a variety of shops and activities in Bude. Summerleaze is the nearest beach, and is renowned for its sea pool, river, surf and rock pools as well as rolling sand dunes. The cottage is also just a few steps away from the Post Office, which stocks a range of groceries, newspapers and snacks.
To the front of the cottage is a paved sun terrace with palms, ideal for catching the morning sun, and the rear garden has a lawn, barbecue area, decking, bench and garden furniture to make the most of al fresco dining.
Inside is a lovely sitting room with a slate and brick fireplace bedecked with candles. There’s a TV and DVD, and a sofabed for extra sleeping space if you need it. The kitchen is large and opens out into the dining room. Very well equipped with oven, hob and extractor, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, iron and washing machine & dryer. In the diner is a large, pine rectory table with seating for six, and a dresser unit with all the necessaries (and more) for a relaxed and sociable evening meal or breakfast.
Upstairs are three bedrooms (a large double with a French cast iron bed, a twin and a single) and a spacious bathroom with bath, combi shower over the bath, and a heated towel rail.
The house is just a few steps away from the Post Office, which also stocks a range of groceries. 9 The Crescent really is a perfect base for exploring Bude, with beaches, shopping, restaurants and amenities all but a short walk from the door. There are also many places to visit within easy driving distance, such as Clovelly, Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac and Padstow. Inland you’ll reach Dartmoor, Bodmin moor (and Jamaica Inn), and the Eden Project well within an hour’s drive.
