A tranquil village setting only a short stroll to the local store/post office, and a two minute drive (even a walk for the robust!) to the local beach at Crackington Haven. The beach is nestled into a steep sided cove and is well sheltered, offering soft sand, surfing, rock pooling, and a stream. On hand there are: two cafes; a beach shop; an excellent pub/restaurant. The coastal pathways lead north, over magnificent clifftops, and to the south is gentler terrain. The accommodation has been converted from a barn and has a double, en suite bedroom,and everything you need for a great holiday! Dogs welcome.

The cottage has a lounge/diner, and electric heating, and the kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster and many other extras. The accommodation is single storey, so there’s level access to all rooms, and comfortable furnishing throughout. The bedroom is a double en suite with a pine double bed, matching furniture and stripped pine doors.
The cottage is just 50 metres from the village store/post office, which stocks a range of groceries as well as fresh, local produce. It is also less than a mile to the unspoilt cove at Crackington Haven, where you’ll find a lovely pub with a restaurant overlooking the sea. There are two cafes, a shop and ample parking. The beach is one of the most attractive in North Cornwall, with a broad stretch of sand, rockpools, magnificent cliffs, and good surf. All in all, Hawthorn offers attractive accommodation in a quiet location, near to the sea. To the front there is a pretty garden with sculptures and a bench, and there is a private, enclosed rear garden with a barbecue.
Cornwall is an excellent choice for your holiday: there really is something for everyone, with peaceful walks and remarkable geography, beautiful beaches and coastline and extraordinary moorland, and a wide choice of activities and places to visit! Bude is a short drive away, as are Boscastle and Tintagel, with more beaches, restaurants and shopping choice than you can shake a stick at! Dining out is a real treat, with so many different styles and cultures to choose from.

A cosy little cottage with gardens, and everything you need for a cosy stay near one of the loveliest beaches in North Cornwall. Hawthorn has been sympathetically converted from a traditional barn, with some original beams and features, including slate flooring to the entrance hall.
Stripped pine doors complement matching pine furnishings in the double en suite bathroom. There’s a pretty walled garden to the front, and a private, enclosed garden to the rear with barbecue equipment.
